Dario Fazzi | American Dreamers: Protest and Consensus in U.S. History | Internship
Dario Fazzi ([email protected]) is a visiting professor at Ghent University and works as a researcher at the Roosevelt Study Center in Middelburg. He earned degrees from the University of Bologna (BA and PhD) and Roma Tre (MA) in Italy, and has also held visiting fellowships at the State University of New York and the Brown University in the United States. He is authoring a book on former first lady and public intellectual Eleanor Roosevelt and has published articles on nuclear policymaking, anti-nuclear movements, and youth protests both in the United States and Europe. In Italy, he taught several courses on modern and diplomatic history; in the Netherlands, he teaches courses on U.S. social movements, with a particular emphasis on American radicalism and pacifism, and co-teaches a course on U.S. 20th century history. In Belgium, he coordinates the internship programs at MAAS and is really glad to edit and review students’ applications. His researching and teaching philosophy is centered on the idea that people, whose role has been often overshadowed by power politics, are instead legitimate and significant historical agents.
